Purses Made Out Of Feed Sacks

It is just so wonderful to see a purse that is made out of a feed sack!
I love the "green" feel to it.I love the outdoor, rural feel of reusing an existing burlap sack.
I love the feel of living off the land and making due with what you have that a real potato sack purse gives.

I love the feel of farming and country living that you get when you think of the original purpose of the feed sack.
Purses made out of burlap sacks are just wonderful!
Purses made out of feed sacks make you feel good to be alive!

Jute and Linen Mat

While this may have the appearance of a fabulous vintage feed sack, it is actually a sturdy jute and linen rug. Great rugged humble underfoot mat to be used as indoor or outdoor decor.

Make a Wonderful Haute Potato Headboard

,Now this is the BEST, most creative Haute Potato headboard I've ever seen!

Beauty and burlap combined at its best!
I love what the designers at C&C came up with for creative decorative use of Haute Potato burlap sacks!
They covered a headboard with them! This design just really POPS for me.
What wonderful contrast of the clean dark-colored wall and the crisp white sheets with the rugged and rustic burlap and print.
NICE WORK!!! This would definitely look very good in YOUR bedroom!!! Uh-huh!

Simple Uncomplicated Burlap as Upholstery Fabric

Burlap is quickly becoming a highly desired textured spotlight. I have been fascinated with genuine potato sacks for some years now and am thrilled to see how burlap is now being used as an upholstery fabric. It gives a simple, uncomplicated feel, perfect for contrasting with more classic pieces. It creates a relaxed yet refined look....
I think it just TERRIFIC!!! Looks good in any decor style!

Shabby Chic Burlap

A scrumptious shabby chic combination of fringe, a petite flower print, and {of course} a real potato sack.

Messenger bags are so convenient to carry around because they truly keep your hands free. The ribbon tie at the top keeps the bag securely closed.

A big pocket on the front of the potato sack bag is handy for phone, lipstick, keys and the like.

The back of the burlap messenger bag features the potato sack with the print going sideways.

This bag is soooooo much fun: stylish and rustic at the same time!

Awesome shabby chic bag, if I say so myself. I love carrying it around because it makes me feel stylish and young and funky, all at the same time.....

This framed grain sack is just charming....
Love the French Shabby Chic Styling....

And what do you think of this fabulous Shabby Chic Feed Sack pillow?
We could of course rename it
"Feed Sack Chic"
or "Potato Sack Chic"
Hmmmm............ I kinda like the sound of that...!

The last two products products are available at Fabulously French, the messenger bag is from CrystelleBoutique

"Potato Sack" Dresses on Project Runway

A little while ago the assignment on Project Runway was to make something suitable for a party out of a potato sack.
I was excited about that assignment, but very surprised when I found out that instead of using genuine potato sacks, they were using regular burlap.
The dresses they came up with are cute. Some are cuter than others, but none of them look like a potato sack. I guess they aren't supposed to... Or maybe they were. I don't know.
Anyway. I thought it was cool to see this assignment, but I would have liked it a LOT more had they used actual potato sacks with actual "Grown in Idaho" print. I gotta speak up for Idaho, right? Plus regular burlap is much easier to work with than genuine potato sacks. A-ha! Maybe that's my motivation! I wished they would have felt my pain. HA!
No, that's horrible to think that.
Enjoy the pictures!
