Burlap Curtain Ruffles and Burlap Mr. and Mrs. Pillows....

Well, lookie here!

See what Kait from Mrs. DIY and tennis guy came up with!

In an effort to save herself (and her hubby) some money,
she went to Hobby Lobby
and bought the material to make the pillows that run $118 at Ballard Designs....

Smart Girl!
And you know what?
I think hers are cuter.
Love the font she used.

And naturally she couldn't let the left-over burlap just sit there,
so she put it to good use by making ruffles for her bedroom curtains.

Good job Kait!
Love it!

This is such a fun burlap bunting.

I made it from scraps of potato sacks, and if you look closely, you can see remnants of potato sack print!

A great message for Independence Day, Christmas, or all year around!

DIY Burlap is HOT

the DYI-Dish regularly does projects with burlap.

They mostly use regular burlap, but wouldn't it be cute to duplicate their fun designs with a burlap potato sack, so the print shows at random....?

I think it would be just striking and amazing.

Noel Potato Sack Banner on Etsy Treasury

Etsy has a feature called Treasury and lo~and~behold, they chose one of the potato sack products to be included!
How fun!
Unfortunately this treasury page on Etsy has expired, but it was fun while it lasted!

Make Burlap Roses from Potato Sack Cloth

My friend Amy was kind enough to teach me how to fold fabric roses, which method I used here for making this cute embellishment on a handbag. Instructions on how to make one are available on my How-To blog at http://tutorialboutique.blogspot.com/.
It is so fun to do, and very easy!
